May Fayre at Petts Wood Hall logo

Community stalls

There are over forty stalls expected at this year's May Fayre at Petts Wood Hall, with many local societies, charities and businesses represented. Stalls will be located in the Memorial Hall and surrounding gardens as well as an exhibition by local artists in the Towncourt Rooms.

Memorial Hall

There will be performances on stage in the Memorial Hall throughout the day, and also chances for audience participation - please see our entertainment programme. Refreshments ('i' on map) will be available in the tea-bar. We also have a number of stalls:

Towncourt Rooms

The Petts Wood Art Group will hold an exhibition in the Towncourt Rooms (see map, 48). Fine Art: paintings, sketches and hand-painted cards will be on sale. Also, refreshments ('ii' on map) will be available from the Towncourt Rooms tea-bar and the Coffee Morning bookstall will be selling second-hand books (see map, 49).

Memorial Gardens

Garden stalls 2009

There will be many stalls in the Memorial Gardens. The vibrant atmosphere in the gardens will be boosted by the May Queen group performing maypole dancing, following the crowning of this year's May Queen by the Mayor. Please see our entertainment programme for more information.

Bluston Parade and car park

There will be fairground rides situated in the car park ('B' on map) Bluston Parade will feature the food court with live music on a stage ('A' on map). The food court will have Desperados Mexican Kitchen ('v' on map), burger van ('iii' on map), hog roast ('vi' on map), and Tonibell ice-cream ('iv' on map). There will also be trampolines ('E' on map), a Kart Racing display ('F' on map) and a display of classic cars ('G' on map). A fire engine (on call) will also be on display ('H' on map).
